I saw trees with stuff hanging form them recently and did not know what the Japanese were up to at all. Seems as if they are celebrating some old tradition.

Thanks for the article! This holiday was part of a chapter of manga I was translating, but as I've never been in Japan during July I wasn't very familiar with it. Good to know how the story went :)
