What's the Japan Blog Matsuri? The JBM is a monthly blog carnival during which a volunteer host chooses a Japan-related topic for bloggers to write about. The host then publishes a list of all the entries to share across the web. More details here.

Looks like a fun read, and remarkably free of the usual "wacky Japan" cliches that first come to mind. I'll be reading the whole thing!
PS: Nice rule breaking by Koichi (*nudge**nudge*)
(Anyone else think it's strange there're over thirty posts and 'only' 26 socs? Or is it just me?)
JapanSoc is a great way to bring your post to others attention once they are looking for something about Japan.
Reddit and Digg and StumbleUpon etc are great to reach an audience which may not be focused on Japan and therefore don't regularly use JapanSoc.
If you have 30 people then you can make a good impact on reddit.com (They also encourage weird titles)
Thanks for the link/responses.
